HETGEVOLG

HETGEVOLG is a theatre workshop in the Kempen. From the unshakable belief that an artist lives in every person and in every artist a person, HETGEVOLG throws its doors wide open for anyone who wants to experience the power of theatre. And that is why HETGEVOLG invests in artists, personally and through their work. Thanks to a new influx of producers and players, HETGEVOLG is defining new lines in the theatrical landscape.

HETGEVOLG occupies a unique position in the Kempen and fulfils a pioneering role by taking the power of every human being, every resident, neighbour, passer-by... as a starting point.

Figurentheater Propop

Propop is a professional theatre, where puppets and objects are used. It is not just puppetry, sometimes it is more theatre. Propop wants to move, relax and definitely say something more.

Hofpoorttheater Elckerlijc

The new location and the renewed impetus has enabled Elckerlijc to become an association of 70 members, of whom 40 are players, and 500 subscribers, some of whom come from far beyond the region. Currently around 70 shows are presented per season, divided into six own productions, including an aperitif production on Sunday afternoons, a one-man show festival and a youth production. Moreover, all this is supported by a competent and motivated technical and design team.

De Gezellen

'VZW Koninklijke Toneelvereniging De Franciscusgezellen' is better known as 'De Gezellen' in Turnhout. This theatre was founded in 1925 and is a member of OPENDOEK amateur theatre Flanders. De Gezellen have three productions each season. There are seven performances per production. In addition to the three productions, they offer their subscribers an annual 'Het Theaterfestival van de Kempen’ / 'Kempen Theatre Festival'. This festival, spread over two evenings, takes place in a cosy atmosphere.

Theatre Stap

Theatre Stap is a professional theatre company that creates performances in which people with mental disabilities are the focus of attention.  Theatre Stap believes that artists with disabilities have qualities to move any audience as performing artists. The close collaboration between Theatre Stap and Dagcentrum (day centre) Kasteel guarantees the optimal framework in which the actors can develop their talents and their individual artistic careers.

Theatre Plankgas

Plankgas vzw is an association that was founded in 2016, started by nine friends who have years of experience in the world of amateur theatre. They regularly came together to celebrate their friendship. The desire to be on stage and start something good together, made them dream about their own association which has now existed for two years. Pleasure and conviviality is highly valued at Theatre Plankgas. Every production is therefore a total experience.
