‘The Land of Turnhout’ tour

Bustour

In 1356 Turnhout consisted of several villages. As a whole, they were called the Land of Turnhout. You may already know the wandering colonies of Merksplas and Wortel. But did you also know that, in the twin villages Baarle-Hertog and Baarle-Nassau, you can stand in Belgium with your right foot and in the Netherlands with your left?

Do you suspect you might not know all the secrets of the Kempen landscape? Then take a tour around the Land of Turnhout.

How does it work?

Book a ‘Land of Turnhout’ tour at least three weeks in advance via Toerisme & UiT. With your reservation, indicate:

  • the desired date
  • the time of the visit
  • the size of your group
  • contact details

The cost per guide is 50 euros (one guide per bus). A one-off administration fee of 5 euros will also be charged. The participants must provide a bus themselves.

Toerisme & UiT secures the guide(s) and provides you with a reservation confirmation for the visit. Afterwards you will receive an invoice for the payment of the guide and the administration fee. Then you and your group go to the designated starting point on the agreed day and time. You may have to pay an entrance fee per location.

In case of cancellation, you must inform Toerisme & UiT in writing at least six calendar days in advance. In the case of late cancellations, you pay the total amount and no cancellation restitution is possible.
