Accessible routes
A disabled cyclist? You will also enjoy the cycling nodes network. Under the name ‘Iedereen Fietst’ (everyone cycles), the Province of Antwerp presents four accessible cycling circuits from accessible accommodation located in the Kempen and the Scheldeland. Thanks to the many additional tips, you immediately experience a comfortable and enjoyable cycling holiday.
The cycling circuits were screened by volunteers for various difficulties. The Centre for Accessibility of the Province of Antwerp did the same for the tourist sites, cafés and restaurants along the network. This resulted in accessible cycling circuits with detailed accessibility information per building.
Turnhout is also involved
There are a total of three accessible cycling circuits in the Kempen: Retie-Mol-Dessel, Brasschaat-Kalmthout-Essen and Rijkevorsel-Hoogstraten-Baarle-Turnhout-Merksplas. So, Turnhout also offers cycle paths for the disabled cyclists.
Go on the road and download the route maps and information sheets on the Antwerp Province website.
