Klein Engelandhoeve (farm)

The Klein Engelandhoeve offers great spaces to receive children and class groups. Just think of the Speelbos (Play Forest) and the game 'De Veenmol’ (‘The Mole Cricket’). Large groups can use the play forest, ask for guided walks or nature teaching suitcases.

Nature teaching suitcases

You can use our nature teaching suitcases. These are offered by Natuurpunt and can be used at the Klein Engelandhoeve. Further information can be found here.

The Play Forest

300 metres from the Klein Engelandhoeve is a play forest with all natural elements. The Play Forest is freely accessible. In between playing, at the picnic bench you can enjoy your self-packed picnic. If you don’t wish to pack your own picnic? You can preorder picnic backpacks via the visitor centre, by email or by phone to +32 (0)14 82 81 00.

Guided tours

Would you like to explore the Turnhout Wetlands with a guide? It’s possible! In collaboration with Natuurpunt CVN, for 50 euros, you can take a guided tour with a class or group. More information on the guided tours can be found on the Klein Engelandhoeve website.

The Mole Cricket

The game 'The Mole Cricket' can be played in two ways. You can play it as a normal quest or as a quest with a mole cricket among the group. The children must look for different locations where they will always find an answer to the question. The task of the mole cricket is to thwart the other children.

This game is less suitable for large groups, since it is important to mingle with everyone while playing.
